Midwest Dairy and our partners promoted dairy this spring and summer with fun and informative marketing programs designed to catch consumers’ attention and bring innovation to the milk category.

Kwik Trip/Kwik Star

Midwest Dairy partnered with Kwik Trip/Kwik Star in 2023 to help promote their limited-time offer of milk flavors. Starting at the beginning of July, Kwik Trip/Kwik Star will sell their Root Beer Milk, with support from Midwest Dairy through in-store signage and videos. Take a look at one of the videos promoting Root Beer milk below. Kwik Trip/Kwik Star has over 800 stores in Illinois, Iowa (called Kwik Star in Iowa), Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and now South Dakota.

Cub Foods

Cub Foods and its 106 stores also shined a spotlight on dairy this spring, including promoting dairy recipes in their in-store and online Spring Magazine as well as weekly email banners, Facebook and Instagram posts, and Facebook and Instagram stories. One of these recipes included a Lucky Shake recipe, a homemade spin on a Shamrock Shake that drove customers to cub.com, where they could put dairy ingredients into their online shopping basket.

Cub Foods followed up the Lucky Shake promotion with breakfast recipes, utilizing dairy items based on the consumer’s Zodiac sign. Other dairy callouts included “Make today a dairy good day” and the fact that Cub Foods milk goes from farm to fridge in 48 hours. Total dollar sales for this event increased almost 4 percent over the same period in 2022, resulting in over 1.5 million impressions across social media channels.
