According to a 2023 State of Online Recipes report from Chicory, 88 percent of consumers use online recipes. To connect with these consumers, Midwest Dairy recently partnered with St. Louis-based food influencer Alaina Hinkle to create and share two dairy-inspired dishes online this year.
Alaina tested several ideas and ultimately added two dairy-packed recipes to her list of go-to meals easily accessible by her followers. The Healthy Grilled Pesto Yogurt Chicken was added as a grill-season favorite that uses Greek yogurt for the marinade and is topped with melted mozzarella cheese. The second recipe was the Easy Crock Pot Enchiladas. This comforting meal also uses Greek yogurt for the marinade as well as shredded cheese of choice. Using Instagram reels, Hinkle showed how to make the two dishes, and the videos combined reached 23,458 views.
In addition to Hinkle’s appealing food photography, her recipes stand out online with sections like helpful kitchen tools, common questions answered, and recommended links to Hinkle’s other recipes, including dairy. Since 2020, Midwest Dairy and Hinkle have collaborated on 11 recipes and seen positive results.
