With back-to-school season right around the corner, consumers are feeling inflationary pressures on their household budgets and are looking for affordable solutions. Dairy checkoff identified a problem to solve: affordable nutrition.

After a successful partnership with Dollar General in 2023 that drove close to one million incremental pounds of milk through a fluid milk campaign, Midwest Dairy is excited to partner with Dollar General and Walmart.com on this new Back-to-School campaign.  From July 22 to September 30, shoppers will be reached across digital touchpoints, driving traffic to Walmart.com and in-store at Dollar General, providing information and access to affordable, nutritious dairy products for price conscious shoppers.

Messaging topics include gut health, lactose intolerance, mom hacks, and more. Nine other states and regions throughout the federation are collaborating on this activation to drive incremental dairy sales. There are 2,400 of the 20,000 Dollar General stores and 900 of the 4,600 Walmart stores in the Midwest Dairy region. Stay tuned for results later this year!
