To build trust in dairy among Illinois pediatricians, Midwest Dairy contributed an educational graphic to the Winter 2025 issue of the Illinois Pediatrician, published by the Illinois Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (ICAAP).

This graphic illustrates dairy’s crucial role in the development of strong brains, bones, and bodies during childhood. It highlights that dairy foods provide seven of the 14 nutrients essential for cognitive development. It also outlines the key nutrients found in dairy that support bone growth and offers suggestions for incorporating dairy into children’s diets throughout their development.

The Illinois Pediatrician is published twice a year, in winter and summer, and is available in print and digital formats. Combined, the print and digital versions reach approximately 7,400 Illinois pediatricians, ICAAP partners, and stakeholders. The message reinforces that dairy foods are nutritional powerhouses that can help children grow and thrive.
