Promotion in Action: July 2024


The hot weather isn’t slowing Midwest Dairy down from building trust and growing sales in dairy. Learn more about our latest activations in our July 2024 Promotion in Action newsletter!

In this month’s edition of the PIA, we share how we’re bringing science and educators together through fun events, giving this influential audience an opportunity to experience STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) experiments and resources that they can take back to the classroom. We also built relationships with environmental thought leaders who are influential in sustainability and food systems in South Dakota through an engaging dinner centered around dairy. Then in June, Midwest Dairy partnered with Missouri Farmers Care to bring dairy to the baseball field. Dairy Farmer Bethany Bloss threw the first pitch during the a St. Louis Cardinals game, which attracted over 37,000 fans!

As we head back to school, Midwest Dairy is excited to support Discover Dairy’s Adopt a Cow program for another year. With August around the corner, we’re encouraging educators to sign up their classrooms for this exciting and fun program for students! Speaking of school, we’re preparing parents and caregivers for school by showcasing dairy’s affordable nutrition story through our partners Dollar General and Walmart.com.

Retailer Cub Foods, with locations in Minnesota and Illinois, recently celebrated all things cottage cheese in their Springtime magazine. It featured mouthwatering pictures and delicious recipes for consumers to try, all featuring cottage cheese!

Dairy princesses in Iowa had the opportunity to develop communication skills at the June 2024 event. This workshop and orientation is held annually to prepare future princesses for consumer and farmer events! In addition to preparing young dairy leaders, Midwest Dairy also invests checkoff resources to provide partners and processors valuable insights, including consumers’ attitudes and behaviors on sustainability for dairy. We recently held a webinar that you can check out!

Lastly, Midwest Dairy is excited to announce its newest partnership with Lasso, offering free grant writing support for dairy farmers in our 10-state region!
